KARACHI, Aug 27: The ongoing operation against the target killers and extortionists is not what was expected from the Rangers, it is said.The LEA has so far raided houses and hideouts of drug
dealers and ordinary criminals. It is to be seen when they keep their hand on the target killers! "The major hideouts of target killers are the unit offices of political parties. Local heads of those parties are well aware of them," a police official said.A few days back, provincial Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon confessed that during operation LEA seized huge quantity of drugs from different areas. A local resident of Bilal colony who was a witness of the operation in his area told this scribe that the operation was conducted against those suspected elements which remained involved in land grabbing and drug dealings.

Yesterday police launched an operation near the Teen Hatti bridge and arrested one Malang baba and recovered huge quantity of drugs from his possession. Daily News has learnt that some police officers and informers are taking revenge against those drug dealers who have not paid monthly "kharcha pani" to them.
